80%!!! Can that be right?
They say that 80% of marriages that endure the loss of a child end in divorce. 80%!!!
I bet the other 20% end in a love story worth writing down.
There is only one guy who chose to devote his life to me, there was only one person who I told my sacred vows, there is just one boy who I grew up with, there is one person who believes in me as much as I believe in him. There is only one person who shares the same joy as we watch our daughter grow, only one man who held my hand as we welcomed our son into this world, there is only he who cried tears of agony with me as we learned our boy’s fate, just one who helped lovingly care for our son, and it was only him who cried in my arms as we said goodbye. Today there is just one loving man who picked me up and said it’s a new day, I love you now and I will love you always.
So, 80%, you can go to hell! You’re not welcome here and frankly you're not welcome anywhere. It’s hard, this going forward, living on, but not because Tom’s the one next to me. No, I can go on, I can move forward only because he’s the one next to me.
I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life.
I love you little guy! Let your faith be bigger than your fears.
